Mission Statement |

Michael Holmes was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, a small, quaint southern town and the setting of movies such as Glory, Bagger Vance, Bingo Long-Traveling All-Stars, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, Forrest Gump and many others. Michael grew up on Savannah's Westside, in the ghetto of Kayton Homes housing project. In the fall of 1990, he began his law enforcement career with the sheriff's department, then moved on to a five-year tenure with Savannah's police department. Three years into his time with the Savannah PD, he found himself caught up in the biggest scandal that ever rocked the city of Savannah and its police department. That event spawned the birth of his first book, The Twelfth Man Standing. Today, Michael enjoys midday movie matinees and working out at the gym, as well as the company of man's best friends: his two Schnauzers, Maxwell and Nicholas. He writes his fascinating and inspirational stories by night, and continues his law enforcement career by day.
